Amy Ooi

Amy joined LeBoeuf Law in September 2023 as a Partner. Her practice spans a wide range of litigation, including commercial litigation, Federal qui tam litigation, products liability litigation, consumer financial services litigation, and class action matters.

Amy previously served as vice president and association general counsel in litigation for one of the largest financial institutions in the U.S. Her extensive in-house experience includes handling class action litigations and overseeing regulatory compliance. Her years of in-house experience working with and managing lawyers and law firms of all sizes from all 50 states, from solo firms to national and international law firms, gave her a unique insight into the attorney/client relationship as she has seen it from both sides. This experience puts Amy in a unique position to handle disputes and grievance claims against lawyers in legal malpractice cases at the LeBoeuf Law because she has seen it from both sides.

Amy is also a classically trained pianist with a master’s degree in music theory and ethnomusicology. She taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona School of Music for several years before going to the University of North Texas to pursue a doctorate degree in music theory. She enjoyed teaching music and is keeping in touch with some of her music students.

During her free time, Amy continues to play the piano. She also likes to spend her time cooking, watercolor painting, golfing, and woodworking.
